We are seeking an experienced Asset Engineer to develop and deliver best practice asset management of road and bridge infrastructure projects across the Hunter Valley. Your engineering expertise and experience in infrastructure asset management will be invaluable to our clients team.
As an Asset Engineer you’ll responsible for developing infrastructure asset plans. The position requires the development and delivery of strategies and policies in relation to the Council’s road infrastructure. This includes creating and implementing the Asset Management Policy and Strategy, as well as establishing best practices for asset management methodology, planning, lifecycle costing, financial valuation and annual infrastructure reporting.
About you
In order to excel in this position, you must have a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field as well as demonstrated experience and expertise in asset management procedures, including design, construction, and maintenance of roads, bridges, carparks and footpaths.
You will have at least five years of demonstrated extensive experience in strategic and operational asset management for roads infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have expertise in the following areas:
- Policy development and strategy
- Process documentation
- Asset condition assessment and valuation
- Asset management systems and lifecycle modelling tools.
It is further essential that you possess the following experience/skills:
- Proven ability to work productively as a member of a team
- Substantial knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Local Australian Government Act, Roads Act, WH&S and public liability obligations.
- High level written and oral communication skills.
