Contract Officer

The role:

  • Manage the end-to-end tender process for multiple categories across the organisation
  • Working with internal stakeholders to analyse requirements and develop detailed scopes, ensuring key outcomes will be met
  • Contract management including reviewing supplier performance and KPI’s
  • Identify and implement improvements to procurement processes
  • Creating new contracts ensuring commercial, contractual and performance risks are assessed
  • Negotiation and execution of supplier contracts while ensuring internal compliance requirements are met
  • Liaise and collaborate with external stakeholders to maintain positive relationships with suppliers/services to achieve optimal value and efficiency
  • Provide recommendations to internal stakeholders on best practice procurement processes

About you:

  • Tertiary qualifications in supply chain, business, law, commerce, or relevant industry experience
  • Strong procurement and/or contracts administrator experience, managing the end-to-end tendering and award process (experience within the mining/construction industry is advantageous)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications
  • Knowledge and experience in contracts management, contracts law, negotiation and category management
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail
