Our client is a respected insurance builder with a strong presence across multiple states, specialising in high-quality insurance repair projects. With continued growth and increasing demand, they are now seeking an experienced Major Loss Supervisor to join their team.

About the role

The Major Loss Supervisor will be responsible for managing residential and commercial major loss and complex claims, overseeing all on-site works to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site inspections to assess scope and support accurate quoting.
  • Oversee end-to-end delivery of insurance repair projects, including planning, budgeting, procurement, and on-site supervision.
  • Liaise with clients, insurers, subcontractors, suppliers, and trades to ensure smooth coordination and high-quality outcomes.
  • Monitor project timelines, costs, and quality standards to ensure timely and on-budget completion.
  • Identify and resolve on-site issues efficiently, maintaining compliance with building codes, WHS, and client specifications.
  • Manage procurement and material sourcing in line with budget constraints and project needs.
  • Service projects across Brisbane and the Gold Coast, with flexibility to travel as required.

About You

  • 3+ years’ experience managing complex insurance building repairs.
  • Strong trade background (carpentry or licensed builder preferred) with a solid understanding of insurance processes and major/complex loss claims.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and insurers, with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Resilient under pressure with a proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • In-depth knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and construction regulations.
  • Proficient in project scheduling and programming using Microsoft Projects and other relevant software.
