Procurement & Contracts

Our client is a well-established infrastructure owner operating in the Newcastle/Hunter Region. They have an exciting opportunity for an experienced contracts professional to work on a large variety of projects across the business.

The role

  • Manage the end-to-end tender process for multiple categories across the organisation
  • Creating new contracts ensuring commercial, contractual and performance risks are managed
  • Ensure procurement plans align with company objectives and strategy
  • Contract management, ensuring appropriate processes and procedures are used to manage financial and performance outcomes
  • Manage contractor performance to determine the need for extensions or amendments, and compliance with contractual terms
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers / services providers to achieve optimal value and efficiency and mitigate risk
  • Provide recommendations and advice to stakeholders on contractual issues, potential solutions, and resolve disputes

About you

  • Tertiary qualifications in supply chain, business, law, commerce, or relevant industry experience
  • Strong procurement and/or contracts administrator experience, managing the end-to-end tendering and award process on complex contracts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications
  • Knowledge and experience in contracts management, contracts law, negotiation, and category management
  • Customer focused with strong communication and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail
