Procurement Facilitator

The organisation:
An opportunity is available for an experienced procurement/contracts professional to work with an industry leader in Australian electricity generation. Collaborate with experienced professionals across all business categories to achieve commercial and operational objectives through best practice procurement and contract management.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process for all categories across the organisation to meet commercial and operational goals
  • Negotiate and execute contracts ensuring commercial, contractual, and operational risks are evaluated and mitigated
  • Ensure compliance with all legislative, industry codes of practice and conduct and company standards throughout all aspects of procurement, contracting and tendering
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to analyse requirements and develop work scopes and specifications
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve optimal value and efficiency
  • Provide support and advice to Contract Administrators in all areas of contract management when required
  • Maintain and manage contracting activities through a cloud based tendering software program

About you:

  • Tertiary qualifications in supply chain, business, law, commerce, or relevant industry experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience, with tendering and contract formation, negotiation of contracts and key contract clauses, relevant industry standards and contract management processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications and Adobe (Experience with tendering software is advantageous)
  • Highly developed communication, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
