ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Drafting Manager you will join an experienced Engineering and Design team. This is a newly created role to support clients within Newcastle and the Hunter Region. The Structural Draftsperson will work with diverse clients across exciting projects such as schools, aged care developments, shopping centres and industrial buildings.
Ideally you will have 2-5 years’ experience in an Australian engineering consultancy with hands on experience with Revit, AutoCAD and 3D modelling. Your sound time management skills will see you prioritising tasks and managing time to ensure the delivery of multiple projects simultaneously. This role will see you deliver drafting of mid-large projects autonomously and you will competently convey structural information into a drawing format which can be interpreted by builders and subcontractors.
Your excellent communication skills will ensure you can liaise with engineers and architects on the preparation and coordination of documentation and communicate relevant project information to project leaders and the project team.
ABOUT YOU
- 2-5 years experience in structural drafting in an engineering consultancy environment.
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD and 3D modelling.
- Proven experience design drafting to Australian Standards.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Demonstrated high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with a broad range of stakeholders
