ABOUT THE COMPANY
Red Eye Construction are a leading Central Coast builder specialising in design and construct projects within the health, commercial and education sectors. They are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator or Bid Manager for this newly created position which will play a pivotal role in their ongoing success.
Collaborating closely with company Directors, the successful candidate will spearhead the identification and pursuit of opportunities with both new and existing clients. You’ll partner with clients to discuss their goals and identify innovative yet practical solutions to help them achieve their desired project outcomes.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Work closely with clients to understand project objectives, constraints, and expectations, taking into account feasibility and value engineering strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to review tender documentation to identify scope, risks, and resource requirements.
- Conduct precise measurements of drawings and BoQ’s, ensuring accuracy and clarifying details with client where required.
- Liaise with suppliers/subcontractors to obtain quotations/pricing and provide necessary documentation.
- Coordinate the bid strategy, including preparation and submission of tender in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Support the project teams with submission of project claims, variations including supporting documentation.
- Manage pricing data, maintaining supplier pricing and product data for tender preparation.
- Conduct post-tender analysis for unsuccessful bids, identifying areas for improvement.
ABOUT YOU
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role (Bid Manager, Senior Estimator, Pre-Construction Manager) in the building or engineering industry.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence.
- Well organised, meticulous approach to tender management with the ability to prioritise and delegate.
- Highly motivated individual who operates with the upmost integrity.
- Enjoys client facing roles that still involve estimating and bid preparation.
