About the role
  
They are looking for an experienced Workshop Manager to oversee shopfloor operations and lead a team of qualified tradespeople. You will manage daily activities, ensure efficient production of high-quality projects, mentor staff, and collaborate with the design team to maintain project quality and safety standards.
  
You will be responsible for:

  • Lead and manage the workshop team, ensuring smooth and efficient manufacturing processes.
  • Provide training in fabrication techniques and mentor apprentices.
  • Conduct quality control checks on manufactured parts and projects.
  • Work with the design team to review drawings and ensure specifications are met.
  • Coordinate materials and parts required for project completion.
  • Oversee daily workshop operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Travel to customer sites for project installations and site support as needed.  

About you:

  • Trade qualification with strong stainless steel fabrication experience (1.6mm – 16mm).
  • Experience with water cutters, presses, and guillotines.
  • Proficiency in CAD and Microsoft Excel.
  • White Card, forklift license, scissor lift license, and valid driver’s license.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
