About the role
They are looking for an experienced Workshop Manager to oversee shopfloor operations and lead a team of qualified tradespeople. You will manage daily activities, ensure efficient production of high-quality projects, mentor staff, and collaborate with the design team to maintain project quality and safety standards.
You will be responsible for:
- Lead and manage the workshop team, ensuring smooth and efficient manufacturing processes.
- Provide training in fabrication techniques and mentor apprentices.
- Conduct quality control checks on manufactured parts and projects.
- Work with the design team to review drawings and ensure specifications are met.
- Coordinate materials and parts required for project completion.
- Oversee daily workshop operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Travel to customer sites for project installations and site support as needed.
About you:
- Trade qualification with strong stainless steel fabrication experience (1.6mm – 16mm).
- Experience with water cutters, presses, and guillotines.
- Proficiency in CAD and Microsoft Excel.
- White Card, forklift license, scissor lift license, and valid driver’s license.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
