About the role:
Due to an ongoing growth, they are looking for a skilled Control Systems Engineer to join their team in Newcastle. This is a great opportunity to work closely with a team of experienced engineers and hone your skills and experience to deliver large scale projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Writing and adapting PLC codes.
- Writing functional specifications and test documentation.
- Preparing detailed procedures for commissioning and providing commissioning support.
- SCADA interfacing and HMI development
- PLC control design and commissioning
- SCADA design and commissioning
- Control system design
- Conveyor PLC Upgrade
About you:
Skills and experience
- Engineering Degree in related field
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Ability to write new codes and adapt the existing ones.
- Experience with Rockwell or GE PLC, Citec SCADA and FactoryTalk View – HMI
- Knowledge of BULK material handling equipment (stackers, reclaimers, conveyors)
- Ability to travel on site when necessary
- Willingness to learn and further develop your skills
