A reputable construction and services company, known for its strong values and trusted partnerships with clients, is seeking an experienced Site Manager. With a focus on community engagement and a commitment to investing in people —the company prides itself on its integrity and collaborative approach.

Recently being awarded a number of projects in the Newcastle area, they are in need of an experienced Site Manager to lead and manage the successful day-to-day operations of these new developments.

About the role

As the Site Manager, you will work closely with the Project Manager and subcontractors to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality projects across various sectors, including Commercial, Education and Healthcare within the Hunter region. This variety of clients and projects will ensure you stay engaged and challenged.

Key tasks & responsibilities will include:  

  • Scheduling work in line with project program.
  • Manage procurement of materials and equipment.
  • Coordinating sub-contractors and direct labour.
  • Ensure quality management, addressing and rectifying defects as needed.
  • Implement and oversee WHS protocols, including conducting daily pre-start meetings and routine site inspections. Quality management including rectification of defects.
  • Identify and resolve constructability challenges.
  • Reporting to the Project Manager on progress.

About You

  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role delivering similar commercial projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Industry relevant trade qualification.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities consistent with successfully leading by example, coaching & mentoring.
  • Current driver’s license.
