The role
GWH are seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to lead an established team in the delivery of this $110M, 18 Storey residential tower in the heart of Newcastle.
The project will be delivered in two stages with stage one including the demolition of an existing structure, construction of a two-storey underground carpark and apartment block.
Working out of their Newcastle office, initially you will be involved in pre-construction including project planning, design management, programme and budget development and procurement of trades and materials.
Once you’re on site, you will lead an established team of supervisors, contracts administrators, engineers and be supported by a senior management team who are dedicated to delivering high quality projects across the Newcastle region.
This is a unique opportunity to leave a lasting impact on the CBD’s skyline, delivering a landmark project that will significantly influence the evolving definition of urban living here in Newcastle.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- 5+ years’ experience as a Project Manager on medium/high-rise developments and a strong understanding of high-rise construction methodologies.
- Tertiary qualifications in construction management, engineering or relevant practical experience.
- A pragmatic and collaborative leadership style and an inherent safety consciousness, fostering a culture of safety awareness that is embedded in every aspect of the project.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise and delegate tasks to the team.
- Outstanding attention to detail with a solution-focused attitude towards problem-solving.
- Strong communication skills, engaging with stakeholders from a wide range of background and tailoring communication style accordingly.
