Recently being awarded a number of projects in the Newcastle area, they are in need of an experienced Site Manager to lead and manage the successful day-to-day operations of these new developments.
About the role
As the Site Manager, you will work closely with the Project Manager and subcontractors to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality projects across various sectors, including Commercial, Education and Healthcare within the Hunter region. This variety of clients and projects will ensure you stay engaged and challenged.
Key tasks & responsibilities will include:
- Scheduling work in line with project program.
- Manage procurement of materials and equipment.
- Coordinating sub-contractors and direct labour.
- Ensure quality management, addressing and rectifying defects as needed.
- Implement and oversee WHS protocols, including conducting daily pre-start meetings and routine site inspections. Quality management including rectification of defects.
- Identify and resolve constructability challenges.
- Reporting to the Project Manager on progress.
About You
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role delivering similar commercial projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Industry relevant trade qualification.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities consistent with successfully leading by example, coaching & mentoring.
- Current driver’s license.
