The role
The Electrical Design Engineer’s role will be supporting the design and development of the electrical/electronics and programmable electronic systems, for underground mining system and equipment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design electrical systems and components for underground mining equipment, adhering to industry standards and safety regulations.
- Developing detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.
- Conducting electrical simulations and analyses to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance with specifications.
- Collaborating closely with mechanical engineers and teams to integrate electrical systems into overall equipment design.
- Participating in prototype development, testing, and validation of electrical components and systems.
About you
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred).
- Experience in designing electrical systems for heavy machinery or industrial equipment, preferably in underground mining.
- Competent using CAD 2D drawing.
- Familiar with AS3800.
